E.B. Trail Missouri River History Photo Collection

 

 

E.B. Trail was a dentist in the town of Berger, MO when I was a kid growing up near there. I don't know that I ever met him, but wished that I had. He was one of the foremost Missouri River historians who had a collection of photos and other info on early Missouri River transportation. While he is long gone, he had the vision to preserve his research and hard work, and the Missouri State Historical Society has a collection of his photographs and other material.
